We fence-line wean all of our calves and finish out only the top females as replacements, the rest are sold as stockers or finished and sold as grass finished beef. We prefer early maturing, small to medium framed cows at around 1, lbs.

To our family, farming has always included wildlife considerations. As our soil and pastures improved, so has the diversity of wild game and birds.

We enjoy watching all of the wildlife; and deer, turkey and bear are just a normal part of our dinner table fare. Raising cattle in a grass based, soil health environment has many benefits.
